Sorry this one's sold. My best friend bought it for 4K last Friday. I did the PPI and compression blew okay, turbo looks new, ac blows cold. Overall it's in rough shape but worth the money. Needs belts, W/P, reseal job, front tires, 2 cracks in the dash and really needs a bath and wax job. We figure about $1000 in parts 2000 hours in labor to make it reliable. Car was originally black and they repainted it charcoal grey. They did a pretty good job on the repaint as we didn't even know until we ran the paint codes this weekend. I'm going to give it a repaint in black this winter. Am I one hell of a friend or what?

based on the title of this post you seem to be looking for the cheapest 951/s2 you can find.... That thinking will kill your wallet later on... you realy can't buy these cars on price alone..

Wisconsin works. Got an extra room? If I spend anymore time in the garage my wife will toss me anyway!

You might want to consider this- I bought my Turbo s for $9K thinking I got a "great deal"- someone did Anyway, it had 154 compression on 3 cylinders & 150 on #2- the leakdown was 3% across all 4. I've had it for les than 3yrs and have dropped ~$14K in it (on top of the $9K) just keeping it going...

Think about it

Good luck...

Point well taken. Actually, I'm just keeping my eyes out right now and sharing any possible deals with fellow rennlisters, who can take it from there . I'm figuring at least $7k, as much as $10k for the right 951 or S2. There are a thousand cars in the latter price range out there, easy to find, but very few around $4500. We all know they will need work--some people will want to do the work or build a track car. More power to them.

IMHO good cars start at $10K, and sky's the limit!
