That's what I'd seen and am probably going to get.
I'd rather have something rebuilt professionally so that I can take the original, fix it, and have it for a spare down the road.

Good info.

yea that battery is old. i went into interstate and they tested it running and all accessories and said it tested ok! although that was last winter.....i guess ill replace it this week

any thoughts on which battery to choose?

also will to many AMPs matter when it comes to alternators and this car? like if i was to get a 150Amp or whatever?

The gel cell type is lighter & no acid to ruin the battery tray. Expensive and installation requires modifications of the cables and hold down.

I bought a #41 Bosch at PEP Boys for $95 this summer. Over Thanksgiving it was advertised for $85 with a $20 rebate. 3 year replacement.

Sears, Interstate, Walmart 3yr $65, and others for 3-5 years all should be OK.

150amp alternator is overkill unless your back seat is converted to the biggest HiAmp speaker/driver head banging ear splitting system on the block.

My 115 amp was the the same price of 90 amp OEM standard.

Hey Eric,

TT is going good. I have noticed the grease flows pretty easily once they get hot. I have some weeping out of the front slit, I think the originals had heavier grease but I'm not sure.

I'll start fiddling with the alt as soon as it stops raining. (ah the joy of living in a bloody condo) I really do need a garage!
