Never been replaced. It's a 2.2T (20V I5) using a K24...not like the new K03's they use on the 1.8's and 2.7's

All in all the callaway turbo convert/built cars don't compare to a even stock early 85 951. Lacks refinement and it is slower, me and a friend of mine had tested this fact a few years ago.

Actually if you read any Porsche history books you will find that the 944 engine was designed for future ease of turbocharging as well as displacement increase. Porsche knew that changes/upgrades were necessary every year to keep the 944 competitive with it's market rivals.

Ohhhh ok you got an older model... they used a way better designed turbo in them days...

Does yours have the pyramid style exhaust flange..? if so there is a Garret VW T3 turbo out there... I had one from an old Diesel on my 8v 2.0L I used the Benz intake side on it and was getting killer spool up time and boost...

KO3"s and KO4's dont have bearings.....The impeller shaft rides on a bushing that rides on a film of oil.....I love my S....

I know what they have they are still defined as bearings... I guess in your car you call them "Crankshaft Bushings" instead of "Crankshaft Bearings"..?

Very few factory OEM turbos come with a "ball bearing" impeller shaft setup they mostly all come with a brass insert oil fed sleeve aka bearing...

If anything a "Bushing" is most times made out of a rubber or plastic material...
