Question Trouble with the Krikit

I went and picked up my Krikit tool today, but I can't seem to use it properly. I tightened the belt down to where I can turn it just about 90 degrees, and tried using the tool. The reading I'm getting is something like 100, when it should be closer to 35. Any suggestions

We used both the 9201 and the OPTIBELT when we did our belts last month, but when the balance shaft belt was "properly" tensioned, it felt pretty loose. The Cam belt was a bit tighter, we could not quite turn the cam drive belt 90 degrees on the run from the crank UP to the cam sprockets. HTH

How hard do you have to twist the belt to get it 90 deg? Are you pushing straight down (perpendicular to belt) on the Kriket?

I got it figured out. Took multiple measurements, all right at 40. Based on the past comparison (Kriket vs. 9201) that number should be good.
