Post Attempted theft...

Someone attempted to swipe my Porsche emblem of the front of my 944S. It's all bent to hell now! CRAP! The bent emblem doesn't bother me, it's the idea that someone was molesting my car. Damn, that burns me up!

Yeah... as far as I can tell. I haven't really gotten down and looked at it. I am gonna wait until I get home to do that. Otherwise I'll just be even more mad the rest of the day at work.

I know how it feels. The sooner you get a replacement and get it off your mind, the better.

When mine was swiped and I showed up for a date somewhat miffed, my girlfriend asked what was the matter and after I explained, I'll never forget what she said:

"Ohhh nooo, I'm so sorry! -that little shield looked so cute on your car."

Women. You've got to love them <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />

My question is why do people steal them? Do they think they're worth hundreds of $$? They're $35! Sure that's not too cheep, but it's not like they're super hot or really rare or anything.

I guess most people don't think about going online and buying them. I'm sure it was some teenager thinking it would be cool to have. It's more "fun" if you steal it, I guess. Of course, if it was "fun" and "a challenge" he was looking for, he should let me catch him doing it next time.

I had the rear emmblem on my SAAB taken a couple of weeks ago-talk about a thief with no taste. The thing is plastic! $36 and 30 seconds of time and a new one was on. I was more confused with asking why then mad-now if they had even touched the 944 I would have been mad for days.

We definitely need to wire these things up to the battery so they get a nice shock! Better yet, anyone has the url of the anti-theft flame thrower?

Wow, well my neeigboor well kinda anyways he is a huge redneck . I MEAN HUGE!!!! Like more then anyone else in the world. for instance. If you have weeds growing on your driveway what do you do? He made a flame thrower and (Shot like 100ft) and burned them all and did this to some shrubbery around his house. Then some other day he takes his saturn and cuts it in half with mostly a hacksaw but got lazy at the end and brought out some power cutters. (clean in half between front and back seats.) Then he takes the front half of the car and welds the back half to somekind of a trailor and hooks up the lights and starts driving it around.. (this was like a 2 week prossess and he drove it in a field) Ohh there are numerous other thing he has done like shot a deer from inside his house through a window. (open)
Well to make this even more intresting the guy owns a ferrari 355 and never drives it. Then one night some punk kids decided to steal the ferrari.. They didnt realise though that he has a super ultra alarm system. So they set it off and about 2 minutes later 10 cops showed up and arrest the punks and they were in jail for awhile for attempted GTA (they were caught in the car tring to start it) Really I think lucky them because I figured he would have shot them with one of his many M-16's. Anyways you are prolly wondering how this guy afords a 150,000 car? well you see he makes 1,000,000 + a year as a cardioligist (has his own practice.) I mean the guy is uber smart but is a huge redneck.

Yeah - get over it - After you buy more Porsches!

Actually, setting up the car to give the person a shock that is trying to steal it, well people have been sued by the thief, who WON. Think twice before doing something like that.

Heheh,
