Post Lets save this guy...

I was surfing my Prelude board and this guy wants to find this:

I am currently unsure what car I would like to purchase... and really... any suggestions would be of great help!

I have a price-range of 15K$ MAX ...

I was thinking of a 5th Gen Prelude(w/i/h/e), GS-R(w/i/h/e), or Civic Si Coupe(w/mods) ... but I am sure that I have overlooked other possibilities

I am looking for something with speed (Consistent 14's would be satisfactory [With a good driver!] )

But more-so am looking for an every-day driver that is stylish, fun, and will get me some attention

heres the link

I sugested a 951 of couse

NOOOO WHY DID YOU DO THAT... all we need is another moronic drag racer wasting one of porsches beautiful creations. *rant mode off* what he wants is a 951, but seriously, does he deserve it? probably not... with a little education anything is possible though

I agree with ERAU944, we dont need some kid, lol look at me, getting a 951, looking for the 1/4 mile times yet not really sure what cars can do that. All I can say is something will go wrong in it, something small, and he/she'll trash it. No need wasting another 951, BTW I need one, lol.

Hey alot of the owners here on RENNLIST have posted 1/4 times, alot ofthem mod the crap out of their cars. Alot of them used to own hondas....I hope the guiy buys a 951, mods the crap out of it and enjoys it as much as one of our fellow Rennlisters.
Loose the elitist attitude..we are not the best of the best..we drive old Porsches that happen to be great cars..most of them anyway. We are not better than anyone and I am tired of that attitude on this board.
Grow up people!
Ok MY rant mode off.....

Forgive my ignorance, but what does "(w/i/h/e)" mean?

~strange morning rant mode off.

If thats what the guy is looking for but doesn't know what one is you should let him know. My first 944.... I was looking for "a car" and couldn't quite figure out what I wanted. And... the 944 found me.

so, porsches arent made for drag racing. honduhs aren't made for drag racing. muscle cars are for drag racing, anyone who wants to drag a porsche or a honduh is fooling themselvs and asking for their car to blow up. that being said, i dont care what people do with their cars, its their money, but dont go telling the kid to waste a perfectly good porsche for that crap. and as far as elitist attitude goes, that belongs to the turds that drive all these new cars like they're the bomb. i'll be happy knowing my 944s are in a good home and will be used, not abused, and used what they're MEANT for, spirited driving not flogging unmercifully a 1/4 mile at a time to prove whos car has more horsepower. i'm tired of people who try to prove car vs car when its all about the driver. grow up yourself and do some research... dont be a moron.

Autocrossing probably does more damage to your car than drag racing. Just because you find one to be more enjoyable than the other doesn't mean the other is for ignorant motorheads who only race muscle cars. I like both venues but if I had to pick one it would probably be drag racing. I do it at the track and I haven't raced the 944, yet hehe. I know it's not fast at all but hey it's fun. There's also a good amount of skill involved in drag racing.

Is there a section in the factory manual that says NOT MEANT FOR DRAG RACING? I think not. Get a clue.

dude whatever man, porsche designed these things for overall performance. autocrossing is drag racing with turns practically. i'm all about road racing, real driving. this is my last post on the topic, if you all wanna be closed minded turds thats your deal, i'm just saying, use your car for what its for
Porsche - real racing
Honduh - grocery getting
Muscle cars - Drag racing

is there a section anywhere that says morons dont buy a porsche? nope, obviously not, because way too many people do. seriously dont waste money and a good porsche for drag racing.

I never said it should be used purely for drag racing. It's merely using one aspect of it's performance capabilities.

You are the one that is being close-minded, sir.
