Post Hesitation When Cold (or just starting out)

Boy would I like some advice on this one. When I first start my car and start driving, I baby it for the first few minutes. However, during that time, when I shift from 1st to 2nd (or 2nd to 3rd) and accelerate, the car hesitates between about 2500 to 3500 RPM. After that, the acceleration is fine. It is also fine after about 5 minutes. I have replaced the O2 sensor and fixed almost everything else in the intake. I have not done anything with the fuel injectors or any of the fuel delivery system.

Is there a temperature sensor that is acting up? This happens when it is cold outside or warm. Any ideas? It is driving me crazy!

Thanks for your help

I'll be listening in on this one as you are not alone! I haven't had any time to poke around yet, so I haven't posted anything. I wasn't able to locate anything in archives though.

Just tried looking in archives again, this time a couple popped up. Anywho, the predominant theme seems to be leaky/poor spray pattern injectors. Pull the dipstick and try to smell gas. If you can, then you probably have leaky injectors. Please don't use this post as the holy grail, just something to check. Injectors aren't to bad priced. Paragon's got Bosch for $65. Did find another site with new for $64, or remans for $45 + $40 core charge. I will probably check for signs of leaky injectors on mine tomorrow. Tomorrow I get my alarm installed . No more sleepless nights. Try running a search in archives for cold hesitation. I got 2 posts. This will list a couple other possibilities.
