Painting gauge cluster light tunnels?
I was thinking about painting my gauge cluster light tunnels instead of the foil method to brighten things up again. What do you guys think of using some chrome or reflective silver paint on them?

Not a good idea. Go with the reflective tape/aluminum foil for best results, and make sure the reflector sides are fully covered. I believe the bulbs are #194, not the LL's. Do the Search as there are plenty of write ups on it. Here is a great DIY.

I used 'chrome' paint and it helped get the dash lights back to good brightness. I have also used aluminum foil. Seemed about the same. Don't try really powerful bulbs as they will melt the sockets.
It's best to take the light tunnels off the cluster, or you might get some overspray on the inside of the bezel.
