Zoltan, don't get me wrong... I really really don't care! And I mean that sincerely.

I do understand that you honestly care about others and wish that they don't get into accidents street racing. That's very cool in a day an age where most could and do care less about human life (this is not in reference to the war either).

My only opinion about you and the whole street racing thing is as I was reading your reply to me justifying what you did on the road, I couldn't help but think that you sounded a lot like many of the other posts you dog on where they too said things like "I wasn't driving dangerously or There was no chance blah blah blah happening".

I try not to be quick to judge others and I personally feel that you use to much vinegar instead of honey when it comes to trying to turn people off to street racing.

I agree with you totally in principle (in regards to street racing isn't cool) but I disagree in how you approach others about it.

I personally have found your replies on street racing to be boardline rude, but then again we are dealing with peoples lives so you may very well be justified.

Oh well, this is only a message board and what we say really doesn't matter does it. People are going to do what they want and what a guy from lower MI & a guy from Jersey have to say about the whole thing doesn't really amount to a hill of beans does it!

I'm so glad Notre Dame got beat tonight... I come from a long line of Notre Dame dislikers!

Later Z & take care!

that's what's called a ricer fly-by and is actually a pretty laughable act to the person who is getting "flown by"

Ringo -

I am currently driving a Mitsubishi Eclipse (Eagle Talon, both came off the same line, different dressing). They have a Dodge Neon engine, which is a dual overhead cam, and a royal PAIN to take care of!

The one you met may have been a Turbo, which I am told is pretty darn fast, and I have seen a few track cars made out of it. But there are problems with the duo overhead cam, that I am thankful it isn't mine! It's my boyfriend's, and he chose this automatic thing over a manual 944!

At least I am now even with him - he has been slowly coming over to the Porsche side, provided he'd get an automatic! (OOPs, must be all the pics and video clips I keep tossing onto the desktop, heheheh).

Be safe, all!

Z-Man, I never got around to reading this post again after my reply to you.

Thanks for the honesty! I'm not a psychologist (although I have a B.S. in it... go figure) but your posts regarding street racing, in the past, have usually come off in an offensive nature towards others. You can be dead on right about something, but can turn someone off by how you tell them. On the other-hand you can be talking total nonsence and present it in a respectful way and people will listen and may even believe. My favorite Far Side comic (which perfectly illustrates this point) is a picture of a salesman leaving an Eskimo couple in Alaska just after selling them a refrigerator. The caption says something to the extent that this salesman usually wins the salesman of the year award or something like that.

I guess what I'm saying is... "it's all in your approach". I work in the medical field with patients that (at times) have behavioral problems and how they act towards you is all in how you approach them and by the manner in which you speak with them. Maybe with my college background and work experience, I'm more in tune with that more so than others. As a result I've noticed your way of approaching the subject in the past, wasn't exactly the best way... and how people would mostly react toward you really showed that you were going about it the wrong way (again not that your views are wrong!!!!!)

So, since you asked for suggestions... try changing your approach from soapbox to "Don't because I care about you and others so much... "fill in the blanks with your specific personal caring feelings about others".

Just some ideas/opinions.

Take Care,
Cory
