Could my problem be dme related?
Hey guys,
my Porsche mechanic still can't find the cause of my start and die / inability to accelerate problem. Fuel pressure checked out. No vacuum leaks, and maf and afm are fine. He called and asked if I had chipped the car which I hadn't but he was wondering if the PO had. He said it seems like there's some sort of electrical problem when he starts the car.
Would it be the whole control unit causing my problem (hopefully not as I do t have 600 for a new unit).
Could the dme even be the source of the problem?

Burning Brakes
Yes it could very well be DME related. But before you check the DME itself I would check the DME relay as those are known to go and cause lots of problems.

I had issues and did extensive searching of the forums and the DME relay came up more than anything.
My particular issue had to do with the car suddenly dying and refusing to restart. Seems the DME relay got heat soaked and until it cooled down I got now where. I changed it and a couple other items, but I'm thinking it was the DME that finally killed the gremlins.
