Post SoCAL: German Autofest Sept 14th &15th

Okay guys this is a pretty big West Coast event, I know a lot of you plan on going right???!!! I have gotten a few emails asking about the event and coordinating. I am not sure if everyone wants to be in the Concours event, but I think we should definitely park together. The People choice Concours is Saturday... The cost for this is $40 and it includes the Concours entry on Saturday, 2 General Admission passes, 1 Ballot for Voting, and a Event Dash Plaque.

So I can get an idea on attendance or questions or ideas please send me an RSVP to: eric@968s.com

Sign up Form:
<a href="http://www.germanautofest.com/PeopleRegForm02.htm" target="_blank">http://www.germanautofest.com/PeopleRegForm02.htm</a>

I would like to meet in a central meeting point between San Diego and Los Angeles.

PLACE:
I think The Irvine Spectrum located at the merge of the I5 and the 405. You will exit at Irvine Center Drive from the 405. We will meet in the parking lot in front of PF Changs and Edwards Theater

TIME:
2 HR DRIVE
GROUP WILL LEAVE AT 6:00 AM Saturday Sept 14th
(I will most likely head down for the Sunday event)

Day two...

TIME:

GROUP WILL LEAVE AT 6:00 AM Sunday Sept 15th
(I will most likely head down for the Sunday event)

(** I may get a room up there that night let me know if anyone else thinks that is a good idea)

Talking

Just got the okay from the boss for the time off!

HOO HOO!

<img src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" border="0" alt="[hiha]" />

I am driving up Thursday and spending the whole weekend in Ventura.

I feel like a ten year old getting ready for a trip to Disneyland.
<img src="graemlins/jumper.gif" border="0" alt="[jumper]" />

I will be bringing my digital camera and I will try to post my pictures if anyone is interested.

I love my little '84 but it's not ready for a Concours event.

If you email the German Autofest folks the will mail you shiny new brochure.
(if they have any left)SANDOVAL has posted all the info that is in the brochure anyway.

I got a room at the Best Western down the street, it's a little less expensive than the hotels near the beach however it is closer to the train tracks.

I'm in!!!

I do wish we could possibly leave from the spectrum a tad later, say meet at 6:30 leave 6:45-7ish? Shouldn't run into too much trafic at that time.

What time do the events start in the morning? Is it really necessary to get up there at 8???

Anyways if we do meet up at 6 I will be there, just don't really want to get up that early.

Thumbs up

Don't know what you have planed for breakfast but there is a neat 50's coffee shop right there a few blocks from the Autofest. (Great food and coffee)
Get off the freeeay at the California street offramp, go right up to Main street, make a left and it is right there.

After a heart stopping breakfast head back down California untill you hit the beach, make a right then roll on down to the Autofest.

There has got to be more people interested in going out to this event than have posted. Come on guys, in one of the last threads where this was mentioned we had at least 7 or 8 people interested. This would be a great oportunity for the first So Cal Rennlist get together.
