Now does that mean that the rear brakes are set to a lower brake balance percentage, or is it just simply the physics and the good brakes leading to rear liftoff.

Good brakes, but a terrible brake bias setup!

Stopping on a dime is one thing, having the traction available to still do something is better!

I don't think that disabling the rear brakes would make the rear lift any more than usual. The rears could be locked up completely, and still lift off the ground as quickly. Given the same ammount of force across the whole system, if it was distributed evenly, it wouldn't lift. I wouldn't be surprised if they were putting more than the usual % of pressure on the fronts, in this case. I'm sure it was just a demo of how strong the brakes could be, you wouldn't want this to happen under normal circumstances, especially if you didn't take it perfectly straight, that back end would love to whip around to the side if there was a slight angle.

actually, i've seen this car in person. it has a custom lowrider air suspension that make it bounce while playing rap music. this picture was taken when the rear air suspension was overly exuberant. <img border="0" alt="[jumper]" title="" src="graemlins/jumper.gif" />

I dont think it matters what the rears were set at, just like on a bicycle, when you put both breaks on full, you still fly over the handel bars.

It's also fun to do on your motorcycle. I'm sure a car doing it right after me would be amazing. How long can it hold the back tires up? Anyone know?
