Default Expansion Valve Q

Anyone here have experience replacing the AC expansion valve? I can buy one from NAPA and many other parts houses for about 1/3 the going rate from Porsche specific suppliers. Apparently this valve was used on many other brands which isn't too suprising since it is a semi-generic Nippondenso unit under the dash (pre 85.5 cars).

I have replaced one years ago. Difficult to reach. Be sure and change the o-rings, it seems I had to use a mirror and pick to remove one. I think a generic would work as well as any, just make sure it is the correct configuration.
