Post For those S owners looking for their missing low-end torque...

If any S owners out there are looking to fill that gap in the low-end torque....I have a suggestion for you....

I recently ordered a Intel chip programmed by Markus Blaszak of Blaszak Precision Motorsports here in Canada (Ontario). I have been researching chip for a looooong time now and have found most only really raise the rev limiter, with some improvement in low-end power. This fello Markus works on Porsches with emphasis on the 944 line. In talking to him on the phone, I'd have to say he is just about the most learned person I've come across concerning these cars.

His chip will raise the rev limiter 400 RPM, BUT the main focus of his programming is providing power at the 1200-3500 RPM range. He said that I will be very pleased with the results or my money back. He said he has never had a chip returned to him.

I will be having the chip installed next week (when they put my head back on) and will post results here after a test drive.

As everyone say, "I'm not affiliated with this company" - but I just thought fellow 944S (and N/A) owners would like a resource that concerns adding more power (don't we all??)

This chip is only $150 Canadian (and even cheaper for my American friends because of the exchange)and I think that is a good price to pay for an upgrade.

Here is Markus's website...

His phone number is 613-353-7012. Tell em' Jeff sent ya!!!

944S Boyee,

I spoke with Markus earlier this year re Control arms. I too found him quite the expert and I would not hesitate doing business with him. He's also actively involved in UCR PCA region DE's.

Good luck and let us know what your reaction is to the new chip.

Did he have a before and after dyno chart?

Good question Mike....I didn't ask.

I'll just wait to get the results first hand....

...and I will post results for sure!

I hear Markus is the man when it comes to head re-builds also. I wish I had of sent my head up to him. He charges a $500 flat fee, if I remember correctly. On his website, it looks like he does some control arm/ball joint conversion stuff also.

I'm glad I re-found his website after unknowingly deleting it from my bookmarks. His parts prices are very excellent also and he uses the good stuff only - not "bad" aftermarket products.

thank god for your post, boyee!

my mechanic suggested a chip upgrade as the easiest way to bolt on power without hundreds of dollars in performance mods while keeping the car very close to stock. i have been doing lots of research on the various ones out there...looks as though you may have found the solution!! i mentioned in another post our s cars suffer down low, but fly in the upper revs, hopefully this is the chip to cure all that.

please keep us s owners posted on your results, if the mod plasters a ****-eating grin on your face and you give it two thumbs up i'll be sure to order mine ASAP!!! <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />
