Post Another head gasket question

I know, everyone is tired of all the HG posts but, I've read many of them and can't find a good answer. I'm replacing mine becaus the car is apart and I want to freshen up the top gaskets along with most of the external gaskets and seals. I only want to do one HG and am going to run pretty much stock for a little bit. I've heard the stock one is good, but was thinking about the wide fire ring. Should I go with the WFR or stock, I do realize that sh*t happens and the HG blows no matter what it is, assuming no component failure and a safe A/F ratio and HP from stock to low 400 range to cover any future mods. Should I run stock and allow it to be the sacrificial goat incase of problems and hope that it don't take the turbo with it, or go to the WFR and have a little insurance?
TIA
Andy
