VIN # and Registration Questions
Hey Guys,
As some of you know I am in the process of converting an S2 cab into a 951Cab. Anyways, the S2 i started with has a certificate of destruction from FL and I live in VA. I am getting conflicting messages from different people in the DMV whether I can get it registered or not. Anyways, if anyone has any insight whether there state allows cars with certificates of destruction to be titled please let me know and what the process is.
Also, I am curious where all the VIN numbers are on our cars. Obviously there is the one in the window and one in the hatch underneath the carpet, but where else are there hidden <img border="0" alt="[byebye]" title="" src="graemlins/wave.gif" /> places where the number is stamped?
I really appreciate any advice you may have, I would hate to have to give this project up at this stage due to bureaucratic red tape. Thanks again!

VIn # tag are: in the door jams under the latch, on the hood near the cowl brace, on the front fenders in the hood jam, stamped on the cowl infront of the batt, one onthe hatch, on the option list in the trunk, under the carpet inthe rear by the tail light pannel. Maybe more, and possibly stamped on the eng block. The one on the cowl will not exactly match, it will have a "ZZZ" that is the origin VIN# before the car is built, these #s or letter are left to designate the country it is destined to be built for. I beleive that the car has to be built to road worthiness and documented with receipts and VIN#s from donor parts cars, then inspected by the DOT and certified for a salvage title or rebuilt title. Atleast in Ohio. I'm sure there's more though. Good luck
