Post POLL Rothmans and "The Beast" both up for sale....which would you want?

If you haven't seen the posts a true Rothman's Cup Car is for sale and another car known as "the beast" (black GT tail and lots of mods) are both on Ebay right now. Where's Sothebys when you need them.

Pie in the sky, which one would you rather?

For me it's the Rothman's hands down!

Without a doubt the Rothman's. Much lower use and only by professionals. Also being only maintained by professional mechanics for one purpose is a big plus. I'd love to see how the factory tuned a car purposely built for racing.

Pie in the sky..., then it would have to be the Rothmans car made to look exactly like The Beast! <img border="0" alt="[burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

Let's see, on the one hand we have a very rare factory built race car, with history of course, in what appears to be excellent original condition. The other option is a modified 951 with 143k on it. Even if I liked black cars and chrome wheels, this would still be a no brainer! There are cars listed right now that even fall between these 2 for my money.

I'd have to agree with Dave on this one. The Beast is very tempting but im just not sure how much longer it's going to last. If The Beast had significantly less miles, I would probably end up choosing it. The Rothmans Cup car is just amazing in every way. I'm not quite sure that The Beast could hit 190 mph and smoke a 959 on the Ring... Both awesome cars...

Rothmans,

It'd be like having a little piece of the Porsche factory museum in your garage

Hey Guys:

I am the owner of the Rothmans car. It is truely a wonderful excellent example of what Porsche can build and make it be reliable. I have had a "tricked out" 700bhp turbo. This car was also a factory Porsche car, reliable is wasn't, expensive to run is was! I'm sure "The beast" would be a great car. But how reliable can a car be that is tweaked to the max?

I think both cars are worthy.

I wouldn't even think of selling my Rothmans car but I am going semi pro racing and I really need to raise some cash.

Thanks for all the good words on this thread. It really does make me want to keep the car even more!
