Default Quick "no-start" question

Car wouldn't start. Tach isn't bouncing.

Replaced the DME Relay.

Car still won't start. Tach still isn't bouncing.

It has to be the speed and reference sensors! Right?

TIA!

Semi-quick answer.
Agree with above but why not test? It could just be bad connections of the sensors on top of the rear engine. BMW interchange are less expensive if you purchase.

Thanks guys!
John, we're moving soon and all the sudden the car won't start so I'm trying to fix it fast. But thanks for that link because those are pretty easy checks and worth a try!

Ofcourse, I don't have an oscilloscope... and is there a good way to determine it's the sensors and not the wiring itself? Maybe I'll just check resistance from the sensor plug in to the DME plug in...

The resistance check works as a quick check.

"Sensor Resistance Checks
Disconnect the Sensor plug connector at the back of the engine compartment.
Using a multi-meter, check the sensor resistances."
