Post Fuel system schematic

Hi folks,

I am new to the forum/list and am running a 944 this season for a guy who races endurance.

All last season they struggled with fuel surge problems and tried all sorts of useless things to sort it out.

I am thinking that the standard tank in the car and standard fuel system is probably more than adequate for these cornering forces and getting the last dregs out of the tank before the stuttering comes...

So I want to ascertain what is standard and how it all works.

Does anyone have a schematic diagram for the fuel system on a 944 16v non-turbo...

Anyone know if the tank has internal swirl pot baffles, feed pumps etc....

Lifted the covers last night and saw a load of pipes and t-pieces presumably standard going into different places on the top of the tank... what are these.. breathers... or pick-ups.. bypasses..??

Help.

Mike Billett.

At the bottom of the tank there is a strainer that screws out. Yours could be clogged. When I recently had my fuel sender out, I could see somekind of baffling at the bottom.
