Post I got a new windshield today...

Every once in a while I see people asking how much a windshield costs. Today I had one installed for $200 ($187.79 + tax). It seems really nice. It has a greenish-blue tint across the top which my original glass lacked, I think I prefer the tint. I had quotes as high as $400, and that still wasn't even the German glass. In fact, my invoice says the "List" price of my new glass is $498. Who cares! I'm FINALLY gonna pass PCA tech inspection (the old glass had a stress fracture stemming from the bottom edge).

So, if anyone needs glass, I used Triumph Auto Glass. I called virtually everyone in my local Yellow pages and they were not only the cheapest, but one of the friendliest as well (I'd rather pay more and feel like the company appreciates my business than save a buck and deal with an ***).

FWIW, from what I've read here the late model's windshield is more expensive due to the integrated radio antenna.
