Post Trade 968 cab rear stowage for 944/951 cab lower rear seats. Classic grey

Anyone interested let me know, prefer classic grey leather or partial leather.
The rear storage tray is all grey carpet with glove box style doors in plastic.
Entire assembly weighs 18lbs.
Need seats for my kids, I have already installed the seat belts.

Was there many 944/951's that had grey classic grey interior? Anyone want to part with their rear seats?

I think the grey's were relatively rare- you should find it eventually though- might take a few weeks- black HAS to be the most common- I think even linen (& maybe tan) would be more common than grey, but I COULD be mistaken- it's a nice color- worth the wait if you want the match- otherwise, some people dye- it CAN look really good sometimes too- easier if you start w/a lighter color though- I say this b/c you MIGHT be able to find linen or something that would be easy to dye (NOT black), IF that became your only option...

Also, the guy that said the coupes and cabs were different- the picture that was shown of the cab- that seat looks IDENTICAL to mine (only mine's cloth)- mine has the little hinge in the middle too- he said the hinge was the difference b/t the fold downs- well, that's true, but I think he mistyped something in there somehow- I just know that you would HAVE to have that little hinge in the center if you had the split-rear fold-downs- the single rear fold down was different- it just had the end hinges- it didn't have to have anything in the middle, and couldn't- that cab that was pictured, though, didn't even show the backs- like you were wanting to do- just the bottom- that's why I said the BOTTOM cushion was PROBABLY the same- I AM aware of a guy who installed a 968 rear tray in his coupe (I have pics), so I KNOW you can switch that way- the coupe seat-bottom MIGHT not go to the cab though- just rambling- hope you find what you want.

Call some junkyards and places that sell used parts- you could probably get that bottom cushion for a pretty good price, and as I said before, most likey in great condition...

BTW- your sig says your 968 is metallic blue pearl w/17's- is it M030 or did you add the 17's later? Also, do you have any pics? I'd love to see some. I don't like many blue cars- VERY few can wear it well- 944 series cars are one of the few- I think they look INCREDIBLE in blue, and I've seen several nice tones- also, a guy was asking for dark blue factory colors the other day on this list- I'm not sure anyone mentioned your color- he might want to see it- I can e-mail a pic if you e-mail me one, or, MIGHT be able to dig up the thread....

Eddie,
I am not trying to screw anybody out of a good deal here but...your rear storage tray from your 968 Cab is worth ~$200-$350 depending on condition and buyer. Rear seat bottoms can be purchased from a dismantler for ~$60 in good condition. No, you might not get the color you want but for another $100 (maximum) you can have it recovered in the correct color by an upholstery shop. You could then sell your rear storage tray and make a couple of bucks. Or, you could just keep the tray for when/if you sell the car. There will come a time (and soon) when you kids will no longer fit into the rear seats of your cab and you can fit more stuff into the back seat with the storage tray than with the seat bottoms. Just my $.02

Max
