You could always use the search button...you would have found that I asked the same exact question several months ago and lots of interesting stuff came out of it...check it out:

<a href="http://forums.rennlist.com/forums/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic&f=15&t=006764" target="_blank">http://forums.rennlist.com/forums/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic&f=15&t=006764</a>

That said...I have played with the S-AFC on a couple of cars...I actually got to mess wtih fuel settings on an SR20-DET S13 powered nx2000 a while ago and thought that the little blue box was hell of cool. I still never got a concise answer when I asked the question before. I think I am going to get danno's MAP sensor upgrade and when I actually do put a big turbo, big injectors, nice wastegate, etc. on my car, I may buy the control module for the speed density computer so I can futz with it and make it work properly...danno's thing sounds like the best solution to fuel control and removing intake restrictions...all of the MAF kits have some issues (bad sensor placement, lack of temp. sensor, lack of adjustablilty, crappy fuel controller, etc.) where danno's thing sounds like a solid piece of equipment which may allow more headroom than ever before using the stock ECU.

Tim at SFR told me that the it wouldn't work well on the 944 cars as our cars use a fuel map based on load, while cars that can properly the SAFC are air flow based. That may also explain why my 944 has never released the BOV revving in neutral while a friend's WRX does. This is what I know about using piggy back fuel computers and their compatability. Hope this helps.

So leaving the s-afc behind, how can I adjust the air/fuel mix?

Get a MAF kit or MAP sensor kit (try <a href="http://www.speedforceracing.com" target="_blank">http://www.speedforceracing.com</a> , <a href="http://www.huntleyracing.com" target="_blank">http://www.huntleyracing.com</a> for MAF kits with adjustable air/fuel, <a href="http://www.gururacing.net" target="_blank">http://www.gururacing.net</a> for MAP kit (not yet for the n/a, but probably pretty soon) with adjustable air/fuel), or...

open up your DME (ECU, under the passenger's foot well behind the carpet and wood) and there are fuel enrichening ***** on it for a small range of adjustment (+/- 6% I think).
