Post rear hatch release

i got an 83 944 and i dont have a rear hatch release. i was wondering what i would need to put a hatch release in my car?

I don't have one either, I think they didn't start till later, but then gave up again. I was considering using Autoloc's solenoids and poppers to make an "auto opening" (or atleast pop it up so I can just push on it) rear hatch. They got a lot of good stuff for our cars. Just an idea.

You could get the Porsche one, you know, the one that doesn't work worth a crap. Don't bother unless you just can't live without it.

Funny, I've been seriously considering yanking my factory one out because it has never worked right and I never use it anyway (part of the strange obsession I have of making my car like Seb's on the Asarus website).

I guess that whole "grass is greener on the other side" saying applies here......

Mine kept opening by itself until I found a new switch to put in. Now I just use the key and avoid the switch all together. KISS is the way to go.
