I have the MSDS header and a Lindsey 3" exhaust with a Magnaflow exhaust and high flow cat. I feel like if it were straight pipes, 3" would be too much, but having the cat kinda makes up for the flow decrease I get from the 3" diameter. (disclaimer - I've never been too good at fluid dynamics, so I could be wrong here). I think it sounds good, but its definitely louder than stock. Performance wise, I don't think the setup is much different from the stock exhaust (maybe 3-4hp), but then again, I was changing from MSDS headers and a stock cat/catback.

can you get the dansk for the N/A? I went on their site, but their catback system looks to only be for turbo models.

white924s, with this setup, can you still have a normal conversation, or play the radio with the windows down? As it is now with my car, when I take my foot off the gas, after having accelerated, you hear this real loud real low pitched noise that i hate. does this happen with your system?

Best place to get cusomt exhaust work done is a guy in his garage doing side work. I have a ghetto straight pipe made, and I dont think it sounds horrible, loud as ****, but not bad.

My buddy has a straight pipe to a borla and it sounds great.

A straight pipe sounds like a tractor until you are at like 5000rpm.

I had one on my car before installing the xr1 like i mentioned before. Too loud, garbage for street use in my opinion.

I use the 2.5in Borla rear muffler with a 2.5in Hushpower resonator from Summit fitted in place of the cat. All stainless, cheap and sounds real good. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HSH-12512400/

Hmm... Well, you guys have given me a few other options to consider, I will probably be checking into each and weighing the pros and cons. Thanks for all of your input, and if anyone else has something to add, it would be much appreciated.

First let me say that B&B is 100% junk.....Been there done that.....

I have recieved compliments from my good friends that own Ferrari's, Lambo's, and other exotics, and when you get a compliment that your car sounds good from guys that drive cars like that, then you know you sound good.....Sadly you cannot buy my exhaust anymore...GHL Motorsport

Couple sound clips can be found here.....

Thanks Leadfoot
This thread is in desperate need of sound clips

I'm interested in the hushpower I must admit.. I'd rather have something too quiet than something too raspy

Backpressure is always bad, what you want is velocity... But that is another discussion.

You should look for a stock turbo exhaust that someone is getting rid of. It is 2.5" and high flow muffler.
