Post PSC1 -- ARC2 Replacement??

Does anyone have experience/opinions on Split Second's PSC1 (Programmable Signal Calibrator)?

From what I understand, I can replace my ARC2 with one of these and eliminate the inherent tuning problems of the ARC2 -- for instance, on the ARC2 sometimes a click is too much or too little. Its also limited because you can't adjust the fuel delivery at specific intervals, its always modifying the whole fuel curve.

The PSC1 allows you (via a laptop and serial port) to modify fuel delivery at specific RPM intervals.

I'm curious to get some other opinions on this.

Details on the PSC1 can be found at www.splitsec.com.

Thanks!!

It also looks like they offer wide band o2 for 139, but you'd need a wideband O2 sensor, which they don't mention on their site...

I have read a little about it. Any idea on price? After blowing $500 and change on the ARC-2, I am not too quick to blow another $500 on the PSC-1.

If I change anything, I am going MAP or Stand Alone. I think most of the rest of the ARC-2 users think the same as me. As of late, people cannot give the ARC-2 away, so it's another $500 paperweight.

Once mine is up and running, we will know if my Input Air Temp mod works.

I think the price is about $340 from Split Second. I know a guy that became a dealer for them, checking to see how much he sells them for.

You can use the included software to modify the fuel curve by arbitrary amounts, rather than by "clicks". My arc2 works fine, its just not precise enough.

I can see how the Input Air Temp mod would help warm up, though isn't that the only condition where it makes a difference? I usually just bump my low **** up a click if its running lean on warm-up, then click it back down once it starts running rich, i.e. the car warmed up. This only really is an issue when its cold out.

If you're having general driveability/tuning problems, the problem could be elsewhere. In my case, the MAF sensor was too close to the turbo (swirling air confused readings) and positioned incorrectly (air flow speed is not consistant in every spot in a curved pipe).

Mine ran pretty good before, just had to do the 1 click rich/1 click lean thing when it was cold out. That was cool for about 2 days, then it was annoying, since my ARC-2 resides in the glove box.

I have no idea how well I will be able to tune it with my new setup. I think I may need something with more resolution, same as you. We'll see.
