Default Dreaded no start....

I knew it was only a matter of time before it was my turn.

Sunday afternoon she wouldnt start. No fear as i've read a lot of the posts and feel informed.

Run up to Lindsey Racing 1st thing Monday morning and pick up a DME/Fuel Pump relay, no fix. I have fuel pressure when cranking but I notice the tach is still not bouncing. I just replaced the ref sensor when I did the clutch but stranger things have happened. Sure enough the lead wire was nearly touching the down pipe and was burnt through.

Had i not bought the cheaper BMW part with the long lead or tied it up in the loom better......

Lesson learned, if you buy the BMW part tied up the lead wire as it can reach the hot down pipe Easy fix and she's back on the road as of this morning.
