Default 924S fan question

Just bought my 924S and i noticed at idle it starts to heat up (needle goes from a smidge over half to about 3/4's) then goes down to normal when i start driving. I figured the fan wasn't turning on but the previous owner told me it doesn't come on unless its REALLY hot. Is this right? or did i possibly blow a fuse? or an airpocket or something? If it is the fuse which fuse would it be because i dont have the book. Thanks.

the gauge has been known to move a lot due to voltage variations in the car even if the temp hasn't changed much, the early dash cars have zero damping on the needles and as such can be wierd like that. My 24s does it too (not all the time).

Still, if you have any doubts bleed the system and check that both fans are working, the high speed one won't kick in unless its pretty hot or the a/c is turned on. Clarks garage has a testing procedure IIRC.
