Post Throttle Response Cam

Hey I was ready to buy that throttle response cam from Performance Products but then I saw they raised the price back up to $40. Does anyone know where I can get it for cheaper? I have a manual '83 944. Thanks!

I got mine used for $30 with shipping. Anywhere around there is good I suspect. Makes the car a lot more fun.

They are on eBay a lot. There was also a thread not so long ago about fabricating your own from your present cam.

Good luck- they are worth it!

You can flip the stock cam upside down and then drill a hole in it to accept the cable end. Even at $40 though, it is still one of the best "performance" upgrades

Easy to install? Does it work for auto? And I heard you lose something, when you gain something else?

It doesn't work with automatics. Can't imagine what you lose...except for your stock throttle cam. You have to be a lot more delicate with the accelerator but that's all I can think of.

This is probably the only one where it's all gain/no loss. It takes a few days to get used to the quicker throttle response, but you get used to it easily.
Definitely go for it.

Where do you see that?

*edit*
I know that sounds stupid but I know I saw it was 20% off in the catalog but I just checked their website and it was $40.

I think I would call and ask them,I just got my catalog the other day and it show the $25.60 price with a regular of $32, now the web site shows 39.98

They should stick to the current catalog price if their vaguely decent.

I have seen the cam come in different anodized colors but they all look like the same design.
