Default Engine wont start-Starter issues

So I just reinstalled my engine got everything wired back correctly, I think. I have lights in the car, headlights work, however when I turn the key I just get a click. Battery was old, but charged, even tried jumping it with another car. I just get a click. Even tried 2 different starters, same results. Is there another wire I missed? I have the 1 red positive and 2 black negative wires.

I got it to "whir" once for about 1/2 a second and then just "click" Anyone run into starter issues in the past?

Thanks

You problem sounds like contacts if the starter was fine in the past. Do you have a remote starter switch to bypass the ignition switch?

I do not like to jump our cars. The DME and related electronics could burn out.

Have the battery tested at a local parts store. WalMart sells a 3yr for $65 or go with a Bosch or similiar.

Thanks, I'll check and recheck all the connections. No remote starter switch or bypass.
