944S upgraded/performance fuel rail/FPR/etc??

lol its possible they did - or perhaps the S was just their stepping stone to the S2... The S2 has a much more efficient manifold design by inspection. Why they made the air go through multiple 180's in the S intake we'll never know...but then again, there doesnt seem to be any good reason...not even in 1987...

Maybe they had other things on their minds...
Seriously, though, I'm interested in this research. As far as the airbox side of things goes, I discovered that my newly-installed turbo bumper lets me actually see the opening of the intake, implying that I may be experiencing a slight "Ram Air" effect. That, or I've found a new way to generate turbulence.
Is the S2 manifold any taller? Mine barely clears the strut tower brace, as it is.
