Default LSD and different tire size question

I had a blowout on one of the rear tires on the S2. The tire is being replaced under warranty, but the new one won't be in till the middle of next week. I have 17" 993 wheels on the car, and put one of the old 16" D90 on the rear to get the car home. My question is, will I hurt the LSD if I drive the car with different size rear tires? The tires are about 1/2" different (225/50/16 vs 265/40/17). I can put the other 16" on the other side, but they are old and don't have much tread (plus it's extra work). Thanks for the input.

u def don't want to drive with diff rolling diameter tires on the drive axle.

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
the difference in rolling circumference is 1.5inches. 2% difference. pretty significant.

u'll be wearing our yer LSD clutch packs continously driving in a straight line. the LSD will be acting as if you're always turning. i wouldn't do it. unless the old d90 tires are like slicks bald, i'd prob use those.
