Sorry for the delay -
HY M8NC, yes its a factory Euro front. Very Nice looking. Honestly... have no idea where you could get it from in the US... I would start with shaving those front bumpers though for a starter

I just looked it up- the 1989 951 I mentioned earlier, was in EC 1/99- an article called "The Reluctant Tourist" it was Baltic blue- Ramin Haghighi- it had a Borla w/a reworked head and port-matched manifold, APEII chips, a Centerforce clutch and Kinesis 17's w/235/45 & 275/40's, Euro driving lights, a strut brace, etc... Nice car- they said it dynoed ~250, and they "estimated" flytwheel ~320- ??? Anyway- just thought I'd mention it...

DanP- thanks for the extra pics- i'm saving them right now- I'll have a better collectionn of pics of your car than you do before long Serioulsy though- when parked next to the silver one (zermatt I assume?) it looks much different at first, but as the angle changes (in the bottom pics) it becomes more difficult to see a difference. I've had people tell me it looked like a silver one- strange that there was a blue w/a hint of silver (sapphire metallic). Also, I always thought the local '89 was Ocean blue, but it must be Azure- the one in the European Car mag is definately lighter- I took it w/me when I went to look at it I actually liked the Baltic better, but I really like that linen (white) interior. Also, I never knew that about the linen grey metallic either- mine's an '88 Turbo S, so I assume mine's really zermatt silver- I have the paint codes if I have to check it...

BTW- the 968's came in an amazon green, that was really more of a medium-dark blue- i really like that...

Man, some of the colors these cars came in look AWESOME! Nice cars, guy's- I'd be proud to own any of the one's on this thread...

Cool

Robby.. The funny thing is those two cars pictured together are BOTH glacier blue cars. Yea, the digital camera gets fooled very easily and it definately looks like a different hue, at least in the first two shots. But the third pic it is most obvious. That is a glacier blue 944 S2 parked next to me, with a dark blue interior. The guy was a bit wide-eyed when he walked up and saw me parked next to him, taking pics. He hadn't seen another. Maybe the tint difference was because I had just been on-track the previous two days, and wearing some battle damage/dust.

WOW! I had no idea- I can see the similarity in the lower two shots, but I thought that was camera angle/light, etc- oh well- COOL! I've got them saved now too- great additions to my collection- I'm actually trying to get shots of as mnay different colors of 951's, 968's, etc, as I can- I've got a couple of intereting ones- one is a strange red- I'll try to send it to you (e-mail) to see if you recognize it, as well as a purple looking one (light lavender maybe?) that I'm pretty sure wasn't factory- don't ask me where I got them from, as there's no telling- probably off this list though....

I saw a pink S2 Cab here in Germany yesterday. Its Pink, my mom remarked. I still say its pink, and ungodly.

I have a 1987 951 that is navy blue, or Nautik Met. ALD 645 Y52 CL in factory speak.

In certain light, you can see a tinge of violet. I have some pictures, but I have forgotten where to find the "upload photo" button on the site.

Pink sounds like one of those interesting colors- I think Porsche had a lot of cool colors- I wouldn't want a pink one myself, but it seems like it would be kind of cool to see every now and then- I really kind of like the 968 Cab that James woods drives in "The Specialist" (w/sylvester Stallone). It's kind of a rust color or something....

Oh yeah- I'll keep an eye open for the blue '87 pics Keith....

Well the files are too large to upload. It will be a few weeks before I can back it out of the garage for some low res. pictures, because it currently has no engine.
