Question Wheel spacer question

I've seen all the stuff posted about putting 17" 993 cup wheels on an '86 951. One of the things mentioned is that you need to grind a small bevel on the inside of the front wheel spacers. Is this some quirk of the suggested 21mm spacers (#477.501.701), or will this be required for any spacer used? Specifically I'm wondering if it will be needed with the Weltmeister turbo star spacers?

Hey,

I also have a 951 and was going to do the spacers thing, but since I needed a ball joint anyway up front on the left side (wheels on my car are already late offset and it looks weird and rubs the inside of the fender in a full compression situation!) I'm doing a change to the 87 suspension. I have a set of the Porsche ones that I got from Ebay before I found a suspension swap and now I don't need them. If you are interested and need these, let me know! Danno describes what needs to be done with these in several messages in the archives here...search in the 944, 951/TurboS and the archived 944 list for more on how to do it.

Good luck!!!!!
