Post Letting the 83 go... VERY cheap.

Okay,

I found a nice little Jetta for my girlfriend and suddenly my plan to sell off the 83 before May has become a bit more urgent. I'm looking for $1300. She runs and drives great... but loads of little problems. I've owned her for 5 years and have thousands upon thousands of $ in receipts.
Sigh. If no rennlisters want 'er before Thursday, it's going to have to head to ebay.

E-mail for pics and details - micahjones@aol.com

Thanks

Micah

I'm looking for a 944NA for some strange reason. What would it cost to ship out to California?

I was in the auto transport industry and the cheapest you can get it done is probably $750 from IN to CA.

Man, sorry to hear your selling. How many miles? What kind of issues does it have? How far are you from Indy?

Okay,

Douglas, I'm 40 minutes south of the I65/465 split off of 37. I live in Bloomington.

To clarify, the only "mechanical" issue with the car is a disabled fan. The fan works just fine, but has cracked a blade, and makes a horrible racket when it runs. I pulled the fuse, the car runs at normal temp. It has been this way for 2 years.

Here is one pic to give you a general idea. The real issues with the car are electrical and cosmetic. The electrical problems are all items that I really just didn't have time to deal with (ie rear defrost, couple of switches, stuff like that.) There are two dents - the one shown, and one in the nose panel that also broke the driver's side foglight lens. Stone chips are the usual - nothing really scary.

Thousands in receipts; most recently new slave/master cylinder (a month ago) and brand new Bridgestones.

Here's a pic with the general idea.

Please contact me via e-mail for any more questions - I don't want to slow up the board with my "classified."

Thanks.

Micah
