does the throttle body need greasing?
Hya,
Quick one: I've just cleaned the throttle body pretty well and noticed that there seemed to be grease on the coiled up spring. Is that intensional? If so, anyone know what grease is appropriate and where exactly it needs to go?
Thanks,
Alex

Hey, that's my web page! The grease is only needed when installing the shaft into the throttle body during a rebuild to prevent damage to the seals during the installation. There's no grease needed anywhere on the TB if you are simply cleaning it; the TB rebuild instructions I got with the kit don't mention adding grease anywhere else.
