I thought i would see if we could kill the new chat server. I'm not sure what we will discuss, most likely Porsches. I thought before we got all gung-ho about the whole thing that we should give the chat room a good test first. Sort of like test driving a car that you know you'll never buy... Not meaning that the chat room won't catch on, i think it is a great idea, but i think we should give it hell its first time out.

So 5:00 EST i will be there.

It is open to EVERYONE. You can even make up a name for the chat room when you go to enter! I wonder how that is going to work out?

I see this in three different parts of the screen and no discussion going on after I login:

someone was on there earlier with the username "AMAF", is that some kind of cruel joke? No harmful words were incited, but maybe we should only be able to chat under registered usernames or rennlist members+passwords. I know that this would exclude a lot of great people In addition to probably being a coding nightmare for John, but this will be open to the good and the bad. I suspect in the future that we'll see several anonymous wackos lurking there.

I say we focus on the fundamentals first...like smooth functionality. I don't care what user names people want displayed, but I had one hell of a time chatting with the BOYZ this afternoon. Obviously the chat room is slow and refreshes every 5 seconds, but there are times when the words I enter don't make it through and I tried entering the same thing over and over until finally it would go through on the 3rd, 4th, 5th, nth try. Sometimes my entries just stopped going through so I logged off and tried logging in again but my user name was in use half the time after the window had popped up saying I was logged off. Just some annoying bugs to work out, but chat will be fun when John gets it all fixed up!

couldnt log in, ater typing in my SN and clicking it said "you are no longer logged in" in like 6 separate boxes

I don't know what my problem was last night. Stupid Deutsch Telekom... they're always to blame.
