I am looking at an 86 944, 5 spd and 117k miles. Havent seen the car in person - but this is the problem as listed.. idles fine but stalls when accelerator is applied.
any ideas- Injectors? DME? Old Gas?

Yes- this would be Porsche #2.. Cheaper and much more fun than a used honda accord.

Bad AFM could cause this problem.

 

mine did this, but it would go away after it had warmed up for 2-3 minutes. Changed out the fuel pressure reg. and it's been perfect ever since.
