Default Question about under car wires

What is the wiring that is attatched to the bottom front struts ??? The black covering is torn on it and there are colored wires showing. I want to know what it is so I can replace it.

Then it is just the brake wear sensors... wiring runs from the DME to the engine bay to the strut to the brake pads... the entire thing can be deleted as it is just a big loop that trips the light in the dash when the loop is broken... I'm planing to install a switch and some LEDS.... should look nice and rice....

Replacing them is easy, getting them installed without breaking them is the hard part.... the sensors have a ceramic type block that inserts to the pads...

I broke 3 out of 4 before I just deleted the sensors all together.... I believe it is a 12 V loop, Im going to try some LEDs behind the wheels, run off a switch in the dash for some.... how do you say.... rice bowl supper....
