Spun balance shaft bearing... If I can get it pulled apart and back together this week, and an inspection passed, the wife will be driving it, and I'll be in my 951...

Otherwise I will probably be solo in the 951... if I get it back running, need to install the AFM tomorrow evening, re-tune for the AFM, and pull out my ZT-2 to have it sent off for upgrade...

Hell or high water I'm making this GTG.... damn the weather and everything...

anyone interested in meeting up and trecking north on 95 from Richmond:

Stafford around 0900 ish
Woodbridge 0920 ish
Potomac mills 0925 ish

Beltway by 0930

Arrive Rockville between 9:45 and 10:00 for the GTG - Drive - Lunch

departure will be 0800 from VCM, all other times will be dependent.. this drive CAN take as little as 1 hour, or many many more hours, but 2 hours is a fair target to stay within reasonable speeds... I usually drive 75ish, RARELY over 80..

I will have my GPS with the address programmed, should be a fun GTG...

BTW Mapquest shows this route at 2 hrs 1 minute... time we will make up on the road...

Finshed the tune on my car last night, drove it to work today for shakedown..ran like a top getting here, now to make it home (75 miles each way BTW...)

I'm cleaning the car up tomorrow, as half of the interior looks like a junk yard, and the other half looks like a dead garden right now.. wash and wax... I'll be there, Mag quick detailer in hand with fresh new microfiber rags...

I'm doubtful for this now. I realized today that the short shift kit on my car was installed wrong. Instead of using the bullet shaped bolt (443-711-189-A) that hooks the lever arm to the divot in the small post that comes out of the transaxle, a different screw with a flat tip was used on the opposite side against the straight edge... So there's a small chance it could slide off the end of the post since nothing is holding it on but pressure.

I've driven pretty far with the way it currently is, but I'm a bit hesitant to drive it now that I know. Figures. I was really looking forward to going to this.

It definitely was a nice day for this gathering. Nice meeting you guys today. I went for the drive up to 270 and split. I thought you guys were behind me out of the parking lot but ended up got sandwiched between 2 sharks and a couple of 911s...good times!
