Default Well dudes...I might be putting the RS3 up for sale...

Yep...I am losing the taste for all this stuff. After being into Porsches for more than 10 years, it is all getting a bit old. Not to mention, spending a little more than a year working in this car, I am a bit worn out.

I'd like to keep it, but with a 2nd child on the way (a boy ) and my business really taking off, priorities are taking place. I'd rather have this car go to another person that will drive it and appreciate it for what has been built. The car is paid for and all work was done with cash. I hold the title (car is presently registered in Georgia.)

Sadly things in my life have been so busy the car has done nothing but sit in a the garage with the exception for a few drives here and there. (approx 2-3 times a week around the block) I simply have no time to appreciate it fully. I assure you, this is one fast car.

Soooo...if any of you are possibly interested, shoot me a PM. I am feeling the waters to see if there is any interest. Hoping there is.

Pricing will be approximately $16,500 or so.

Tires: Brand new Falken RT615's (specs later)

At this point, I am sure there is more that I am missing. The car will come with full documentation (receipts and notes) from me as well as a 3" thick binder from the previous owners. the work in this car has been extensive and again, has taken me well over a year to complete.

The car has currently weighed in at around 2600# without driver and 1/2 tank of fuel. With a little more work it could easily be under 2500#.

Add the forward portion to the cage and you could be racing in a NASA class with ease (see Lemming).

All-in-all, I wished I did this many years ago when I had little to tie me down. However, with that said I do not regret my decision. Now a new chapter is starting in my life and I welcome it. Thank you for your understanding and please do not ask why. If I have to explain, you don't get what life is really about. Let's just say...cars are simply that....just cars.

I will gladly answer any questions about the car to any prospective buyer. So ask away if you are interested. Here are some recent photos. I will be taking more this weekend.

cheers,
Chad

Dude, that sucks.... Sorry to hear, but at least it is because business is too busy as opposed to the alternative... any way you could remove the stripes prior to sale to make mine the only set?? just kidding.. Beautiful car, I am sure it will find a new home, and that driver will love it to death...

Meh...it's all good. Life has a way... Just a new and different time in my life now. Time to move on. When you are ready to apply those stripes, just give me a yell and I'll help you where I can.

Nice car!

What did you do to have the sunroof fixed in place? Is it welded to the roof skin?

Chad, I can't help but see something of a pattern here. You posted pretty much the exact same message when you put your pristine Turbo S up for sale way back when ...

Are you sure you want to do this just now? Might want to sleep on it this time!

Aw geez Chad! Drive the damn car, would you? You're the most fickle car guy I've ever known! If you sell this, I'll bet you have another track toy in progress within 14 months.

Last week it took you less than 12 hours from "I'm thinking of selling the Porsche" to "I've decided to keep it" in your Expeditionary Trekking thread.

Just take the damn thing to the track a couple times before making a decision. In a few years, your kids can come to the track with you! My 11 year old daughter was timing copier/runner at the race this Saturday. She was the most popular person in the paddock and loved it!

Congrats Chad to you and your wife!!

Dont listen to Joe. He wants all of us to go down that slippery slope with him!

No, listen to Joe, so I am not alone going down the slope with him!

Between you Joe and me we have gone through more cars in the last few years than just about anyone. He cant go up the food chain much more than what he just got, and I think i hit the bottom with the M3 - which for me is a good thing right now.

If cash isnt an issue i say keep it until the end of next season. Even with a newborn you should be able to get away a few times. especially with a newborn you may want to escape for a quick country drive to decompress.

plus there are more things you can do to the car over this winter even with a newborn that take less time than another build. I am sure Joe can come up with a few projects to keep you busy. Just standing near him at the track this weekend it must have been through osmosis or something, but a few corner workers told me what i needed to do to the M3. now the quest for a e36 suspension makeover begins.

or you can spend this winter collecting wheels - i am at 12 for the bmw, 8 for the saturn, 8 for the volvo, and 4 for the porsche i no longer have.

whatever you do, good luck.
