Default Widebody rear... inner fender question

What happens to the inner fender skin when you install widebody rear fenders?

Do you modify it to fit the new fenders or just cut it out?? Wouldn't water and stuff get in there? Would it cause rust eventually even though its galvanized?

Thanks in advance,
Alex

What kind of wide body kit is this? most I've seen use racing fenders that are one piece that replace the whole fender, or others like the 924 gt carrera fenders and others alike.
