Now, now, girls. Are we actually exchanging caustic emails over the issue of light bulbs?
FWIW I bought and installed Automobile Atlanta's H4 upgrade kit for $50 - Lenses of no particular pedigree and bulbs from some British company I had never heard of. The difference is startling. I may not be blinding truckers, but I can finally see the freakin' road.
I would have done the full IceShark upgrade (a PCA buddy did and it is well-engineered) - and may yet - but impending A-arm replacement forced... well, you all know the deal.

Ralph, yeah, I got carried away. Sorry.
The point I was trying to make is that if one has a sharp cuttoff E-Code lens then you can step up to overwatt bulbs and not bother other drivers. Certainly not as much as the North American HIDs.

I have cheap off-road 7" round H4 lamps from JC Whitney. They are quite decent and worlds better than the sealed beam lamps. Only $20 each too, which matters when they are likely to get pitted and cracked by road gravel.
