Since only members can post pics please visit my website. I have tons of great pics and have added a new pic of the gauges and gauge rings. I will add more pics as soon as my digital camera will stop flashing. The damn thing will not let me turn the flash off now.

That has got to be the best S2 I have ever seen!! You've done one hell of a job with that beast. Those gauges really do update the interior quite a bit. How difficult was the job? Do those 928 rings fit 944's or do they have to be adjusted?
Your car is lookin sweet!!

yep...sucks, i wanna see these gauges... looking into doing something similiar. speaking of gauges, do you guys think it would be possible to put a 944 gauge cluster in a 951, considering the boost gauge is terribly innacurate and i want a MPG gauge

Jerad, the gauges were just like mine. The rings also fit right in. Try it now, maybe it still has some hits left. I'm going to be joining Rennlist soon so I won't have to put up with this limited hit crap.

The gauges are from Speedhut. For an extra ten bucks I had them remove the Speedhut logo from the gauges. It looked really dumb and I suggest you do the same. They are the gauges for the 928. They are 180mph gauges in black with white font. They light up real nice in a blue or bluish green. The dial rings are also for a 928. I got them from Jager engineering. I can't tell you how this has updated the look of my interior. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Looks great, nicely done. I have a few questions. The new gauges go to 180, are they calibrated the same as the stock S2? If not, how do you modify it to read the correct speed? Also do you have a picture of the bezel rings as mounted in your car. There is another set of bezel rings out there that is one piece, are these 4 individual rings? Do they overlap the guages any?
Again STELLAR car!!!
Cheers,

Riff, these are individualy machined stainless steel rings. There are 4 seperate rings which recess into the gauge opening. The gauges are from Speedhut. I had thier logo deleted for another $10. The gauge bezel you are talking about is also from Speedhut. I think it's junk. It's a one piece thing made of aluminum and you have to bend it to fit. These rings look like they came from facotry. That's how well they fit. If you see the pic of the 928 that is exactly how they look in mine. My pic is a bit dark but you can see the reflections of the rings. As far as calibration, I did not do so. I lined up the hash marks with the factory gauge and they lined up perfectly. Oh well, I'm an out of calibration ****. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> I'm trying to take more pics. My digi camera **** the bed.

Yeah, the stock instrument lights are still there and they even control the dimness of the backlit gauges. I connected the positive and negative of the backlit gauges to one of the bulbs for the original cluster. So the backlit gauges light the numbers and the original lighting is lighting the needles. It's brighter in real life. The pics don't really convey how clean they look. In the pic it's at it's most brightest. you can reduce the brightness with the factory dimmer.
