Default Rock Auto motor mounts?

Anyone use em? WAY cheaper than OEM or traditional after market - $30 a piece.

Only problem is shipping can be delayed up to 30 business days!

As big of a pain as these are to get to...why not spend the $$ and get a known good thing?

Motor mounts are one of the easier jobs one can do on a 944.

URO parts are fairly well known and commonly used. For 1/4 the price, I am looking for feedback from people that have used these specific mounts. Contrary to popular rennlist belief, not every alternative to Porsche OEM is junk...

My DME relay is URO and its been good for a year....

Does RA list any other options for motor mounts? When I buy from RA, I usually pick a part in the middle. Not the most expensive, and not the cheapest.

Still didn't answer your question......

Do a search I know I have read here that the cheap motor mounts fail in about a year. I paid the extra to get the OEM when I did it earlier this year, and yes they are a PITA to do.

The GRM folks are sourcing some of their parts from Rock Auto (who are, natch, advertising in GRM). I place a lot of faith in those guys (subscriber for 10+ years). On a related note, a 944 buyers guide is coming in GRM soon, IIRC.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

In my experience, unless you took both off at the same time and didn't use the right tools it is most definitely not a PITA to do.

I don't know about URO - but I've had non-oem motor mounts fail within a matter of months. Not worth it in MHO.
