Phoenix 944 Curbo?
Has anyone in the Phoenix area spotted the white 944 Curbo driving around town? I've heard of its sightings but haven't been able to witness it first-hand. I've searched extensively but I've yet to find the actual specs on the super-rare "Curbo" model. I'm told it's quite light due to the race inspired interior and the factory using 75% less paint to keep the weight down. I also hear down force is tremendous with the custom formed front fenders. If you see it, beware. I hear it's kind of like Christine in the Steven King book and refuses to die. Now what the hell is a 944 S3???
For those of you who made it to the belt day at my house, I was in the garage until 3am before I finally called it quits. Once I got it running, my belts were a little loud so I had to take it apart and re-adjust. I won't even mention my cycling valve and wastegate issues. Quitting time was shortly after a visit from my neighborhood police. As soon as I wrestle some pictures away from my neighbor, I'll get them posted. BTW, I checked into paint costs... for base-coat/clear-coat in alpine white, materials are $550. A single stage paint will be around $350. For either set-up, factor in about $100 for sand-paper, tape, cleaners, and beer.
Any one up for going to the spec race in two weeks?????

Jeremy,
Thanks for the opportunity to see the rare/expensive belt tensioning tool in action! : 0
Hopefully, I won't need the paint/body after the 15/16th but a new track brings finding new limits and a couple of the ballerinas that we race with are known for their spins! Joking of course, NOT!

Wow! I can't believe I missed this post!
For all of you that are wondering, I own the "Curbo." I'll post a pic tomorrow of why it's nicknamed that... thanks to some overzealous wet sanding and some stubborn adhesive.
