Looks to me like these wheels have a spacer welded on to them. DangerIsland, I am assuming that your car has longer than stock wheels studs.

Here's a shot of what the S4's look like on my car:

<img src="http://www.p-caronline.com/directory/images/tifosiman/tifosiman_image4.jpg" alt=" - " />

A lot of people paint them red. At that point they look A LOT like big reds. Looking back on it, I almost think that I have too much braking power on my car now. Since there is no ABS, I have to remember not to stomp on the brakes or I get instant lock-up. Keep in mind that Big Reds are really designed for a heavier car, so you would experience a little more of the same issue than me...

Just some food for thought. I like big reds a lot, too. But when I was looking to upgrade my brakes, my mechanic (who builds and races all sorts of P-cars) told me that the Big Reds would be huge overkill for my car.

Post some pics after you decide what you want and the install is complete!

The lug nuts sit way way way deep down in the holes, and as far as I can tell, they bolt all the way on to the stock studs just fine. There's no seam in the center part (hub) of the wheel that you can see, they're just really long. My guess is that there were designed for early offset cars. Are there any stock 944 rims that have a 15mm offset that these would be designed for?

Damn rich, those look nice. Are they painted the same color all the way around, or is the lip different? What tires are you running, and what kind of shape are they in?

Oh MAN, I found this picture over at pelican. This would be my exact setup with those fuchs. I don't know which one I like better.

Damn Joe.. now I'm thinking I wanna keep the Fuchs.

I need to see your 17s on my 86 before I decide.

The treads on front are gone:
<img src="http://members.shaw.ca/rsandor/baldies.jpg" alt=" - " />

The rears are Bridstones, (i think) and still worth 50% tread I'd say.

The Fuchs are silver all over, expect the bolt caps are black. I was thinking about keeping them as Winter wheels, but they'd be too small for the big reds.

I wish they made 17" Fuchs. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />
