Wander / torque steer
My car has a bit of a wander / torque steer issue .. but it only happens sometimes, most often on uneven surfaces. I'm not exactly sure what it could be, but my supension is shot, and so are my wheel bearings and CV joints . . . could one of those problems be it or is the problem something else such as tie rod?
It's definitely not the control arms because I replaced those a few months ago.

Just to clarify, torque steer is something that only affects high power FWD cars.
It's when the power is applied, the car (and the wheel) try very hard to go in a direction thats not straight ahead.
What kind of tires are you running up front?
Do you know the specs of the alignment? (Who did the alignment?)
I would fix the other issues

That's sort of what happens sometimes .. I will accelerate and it wants to go off in another direction.. but only for about a half second.. it overall feels sort of loose, but not consistantly.
Some dumb shop did the alignment .. probably got it all wrong, guess that could be part of it. I went there because my regular mechanic wanted something like ~$300 for the job, which seemed a little extreme. The tires I am running are just some random Bridgestones (pretty new, less than 5k) to hold me over til' I put better ones on, after fixing more serious issues.

I agree with Adrial, get your other items taken care of and then get yourself a new alignment. Although I doubt the CV joints are a cause/contributor of the problem you describe. As Adrial inquired, what kind of alignment rig was the alignment done on and what were the before and after alignment values.

It was a dumb shop if they aligned a car with worn out wheel bearings and suspect tie rods.
..and it sounds to me like your car is tramlining, which can be common with wide front tires.
- of course, how could you know for sure, with everything else slopping around??
