Lindsey Steam Vent Kit?
Anyone have one of these things installed? : http://www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Pors...951-STEAM.html
From their site:
If you're using a stock coolant tank, you need the "T" fittings to connect the steam vent kit into the coolant hose from the coolant tank to the radiator.
Can someone point out which hose to me? I don't see any hose going from the coolant tank to the radiator that's as small as a vacuum line.
If anyone has this installed and has a pic - I'd appreciate it.
Also, when you install this - do you have to drain the cooling system?

On my 951 there is a small hose not much bigger than a vacuum line coming from the top left corner (if you are looking at it from the front of the car), going straight down. It is near the strut kind of? goes down right near the AC lines I think. It goes straight down behind the J boot and then under it going towards teh front of the vehicle. Maybe its that? That's the smallest hose I can think of. It's also the highest point, which would make sense for a steam kit.

Thanks guys - must have missed it on their tech garage page...I've installed several of their products and used that but didn't see the steam vent on there.
Not for me this time around - wish I would have known about this when I was having my head gasket done a few months ago...

Why would you be hesitant about drilling a hole? As long as you have the right tap it takes about 10 minutes when the head is off. It's cheap insurance for a common issue on some 951's IMO.

Ive said it a few times and ill say it again. The fact you dont even need to bleed the air out of the head after draining once you put this fitting in is enough proof that it works.
