I knew it was fake when I didn't see any cracks in the dashboard.

1. It's an autotrader ad, not a craigslist ad.

2. It's not a 944S, but an 8-valver, if the carfax number he's providing is that of the car. (Note: carfax says there are 18 records found for this car - a bit on the high side, IMHO. Surprised no one mentioned this here yet.

3. It's a used car dealer - so he probably has a few cars on his lot -- which would explain the mix-up with the interior shots. He is selling two Jeep Cherokee's, but neither match those interior shots, nor do those cars have interior shots of the 944 in the ads.

3. The ad states that the motor is seized - surprised he mentioned that - but that's kinda hard to hide...

4. $2k for a '44 with a blown motor - could be a decent buy, or a nightmare.

-Z-man.

A blown motor and an automatic; I'll go with the nightmare option.

...and then there is the very rare centrally located e-brake handle! I'll take it!

It's really hard to put a value on a unique creampuff like an automatic 944 with a seized motor and a Jeep interior. He should be listing what he'll pay us to haul it away.
