advice from a 43 year old who also drives like he's 17 or so. buy real estate, even a down payment on some rental property that will earn you cash and equity. or put it in cd's or something other than car parts. i went to school with a lot of people that at the time weren't the sharpest knives in the drawer. now i talk to some of them who bought property in the 80's and they're downright wealthy today! who would've thought...--you have your whole life ahead of you, don't waste the money on something foolish! we lived in the same house for 19 years and moved in 05/2000 when it was paid for. the equity we gained in that time almost paid for our new house in full and it's appraised at $50,000 more than the house we sold!--just something for you to ponder--paul m.

Matt,
I don't need a math lesson. I asked a simple question where are you making 8%????
NOW!
Not in the future on a piece of paper that you read about when someone tried to sell you a mutual fund....Yeah, based on a market average for the last....... Blah..Blah..Blah..
I love it!
You got guys that don't have $20K to invest giving investment advice to some kid who just wants to soup his car up.
I guess that goes along with people giving car mod advice who seem to blow their cars up???

Buy property! I'd vote for that one if the guy came on the Rennlist to ask about how to invest 20K!!

Paul
